Hyundai Dimensions

Understanding the dimensions of a car before you even visit a dealership can make the decision process much easier. With new build properties now being built with less parking space than older houses and city or town centre environments limited on space, the dimensions can be an important factor when it comes to purchasing a new car.

Why consider the dimensions of a Hyundai?

Driveways attached to the side of a house (rather than the front), can only accommodate a certain width of car, especially if you use your driveway to access the rear of the house.

Similarly, garages are a certain size and new cars, particularly SUVs might take up the whole space, leaving you with very little extra room for other equipment.

Public parking spaces are also often limited on space, so purchasing a car that can fit comfortably into a space will be a lot easier for you in the long run.

Hyundai i10

The Hyundai i10 is designed for city driving thanks to the compact size. There’s 5 seats, meaning you can all travel together to a place of work or to the local shops. When it comes to doing the weekly food shop, there’s 252 litres of boot space, which can be extended to 1,050 litres by folding down the rear row of seats.

If you live or work in a space constrained area such as a city centre environment, the Hyundai i10 might be the ideal option, as you can benefit from a rear-view parking camera that helps you navigate into tight parking spots (SE Connect and Premium models).

Despite the small size, there’s no shortage of technology features, including navigation, steering wheel controls, an 8” touchscreen with smartphone integration (SE Connect, Premium and N Line) and an intuitive instrument panel.

Hyundai i20

If you require a larger hatchback, the Hyundai i20 is still compact, but the interior is spacious and comfortable for both driver and passenger.

The centre console area is not cluttered, which makes the cabin area feel roomier and features a touchscreen display (either 8” or 10.25”) and air conditioning controls.

There’s ambient lighting that illuminates the footwell and door sills, creating an enjoyable atmosphere inside the cabin, especially on late night journeys.

The boot offers 262 litres of space – enough to transport your weekly food shop or small luggage items. If you need to transport much larger items, you can fold down the rear row of seats to create 1,075 litres of space.

Hyundai i30

The Hyundai i30 is available in 4 different variants – the i30, i30 Tourer, i30N and i30 Fastback, all offering different sizes and specifications depending on your requirements.

The standard i30 model offers 395 litres of boot space, enough to accommodate your shopping and smaller luggage items easily, as well as a folded down pushchair. If you opt for the i30 Tourer, there’s 602 litres of boot space, extended to 1,650 litres with the rear seats folded down.

The i30 hatchback can fit seamlessly into any town or city environment, but also has no issues out on the open road.

Hyundai Kona

The Hyundai Kona is a compact SUV built with families in mind. Designed to switch seamlessly between city driving and rural adventures, the Kona has 374 litres of boot space, so it can accommodate all your luggage and any shopping bags required.

If you need to transport larger or oversized items, the rear row of seats can fold down to create 1,156 litres of space. The 60:40 split means you can still use 2 of the rear seats if required, whilst still accommodating larger items such as luggage or hobby equipment.

Hyundai Kona Folding Seats

At 1,800mm, the Hyundai Kona is only fractionally wider than the Hyundai i20 which is 1,775mm wide making it easy to park, especially in space constrained areas.

Hyundai Tucson

The Hyundai Tucson is available as either a Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, Petrol or Mild Hybrid option to suit your needs.

Known for its increased roominess, the Hyundai Tucson provides comfort for everybody on board.

When it comes to boot space, the 40:20:40 configuration makes it easy to transport large or awkward sized items if you need to increase the volume from 620 litres.

When navigating around busy areas such as city centre car parks or residential streets, the Blind Spot View Monitor (certain models only) allows you to see what is going on around the vehicle. These cameras are activated when the indicators are used, making motorway lane changes a breeze.

Hyundai Santa Fe

The Hyundai Santa Fe is a seven-seater SUV designed for larger families to travel together. The panoramic sunroof makes the cabin area feel roomier and more spacious for all passengers.

If you don’t need to take advantage of all seven seats, you can fold down the rear row to create 1,649 litres of space instead of the 571 litres you have with all seats up.

There’s a Blind Spot View Monitor that displays a view of any vehicles to the right or left of the car (depending on which indicator is activated).

Hyundai Nexo

If you’re looking for a more environmentally friendly option, the Hyundai Nexo runs on hydrogen and can be refuelled in as little as 5 minutes, offering more than 400 miles of range.

There’s a boot volume of 461 litres so there’s plenty of space to accommodate luggage, hobby equipment or the weekly shop.

In fast paced areas, there’s a Blind Spot View Monitor that shows an outside view of the vehicle on the driver’s side. This is activated when the driver uses the indicator to change lanes.
