Most economical cars of 2017

BCC Cars are delighted to announce that 4 of our cars have been voted in the Top 20 Most Economical Cars of 2017. The article states that the Hyundai Ioniq, DS3, Citroen C3 and Citroen C4 Cactus are amongst other vehicles designed to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. An economical car with good fuel economy is important with rising fuel costs as you can save money every time you make a journey.

Here’s what the article had to say about the vehicles:

8th place Citroen C3:
‘Unlike the Cactus, can be ordered with or without the Airbumps. The diesel engine is available on the top trim C3 Flair’

16. Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid:
‘The Hyundai Ioniq is here to topple the Toyota Prius from its eco perch and is available as both a hybrid and full-electric vehicle. Prices start from just shy of £20,000 but you’ll need to avoid the 17-inch alloy wheels if you want to maximise fuel economy'
7. Citroen C4 Cactus:
‘Thanks to its lightness, the Citroen C4 Cactus is one of the most fuel-efficient cars on sale, especially when powered by the 1.6-litre BlueHDi diesel engine. In common with all of the cars listed here, you’ll do well to achieve the official figure, but economy in the high 60s or early 70s isn’t unrealistic’

12th place DS3:
‘Posh MINI rival DS offers an ultra-economical version of the DS3 which, in 1.6 BlueHDi S&S form, averages 83.1mpg'
