And the winning captain is…Team Radlinski!
On Friday 17th June, Wigan Warriors hosted a Golf Day at Shaw Hill Resort & Spa Hotel and, as proud partners, BCC Citroen Wigan offered attendees the chance to win a New Citroen C1. Though no-one won the main prize, Steve Critchley achieved a hole in one at hole 12, earning himself a 2-night golf trip for 4 to Marriott Forest of Arden!
Paul Dawber, Corporate Sales Executive at Wigan Warriors, commented on the occasion: “The inaugural Wigan Warriors Golf Day at Shaw Hill was a fantastic event for everyone involved. A great day out with friends and colleagues with the emphasis on golf being fun and bringing lots of different people together. We are looking forward to next year’s event already which I’m sure will be even better in 2017.”
The day was a brilliant success with 14 teams competing to win the 18-hole stableford competition title. Among the competing #TeamRads were Fleetsmart UK, responsible for a combined stableford of 136 points, whilst Tony Waite (SOL PV) of #TeamWane managed a respectable 39 points off a handicap of 28.
Collectively, Team Radlinski had a score of 763 stableford points against Team Wane, whose score reached 691.
Kris Radlinski, Winning Team Captain said: “Winning the inaugural Wigan Golf Challenge ranks alongside everything I have achieved in my career. The trophy will find a nice spot in between the Lance Todd and Harry Sunderland trophies. I always thought Waney would be better under pressure but I guess he couldn't handle it on the day. I am sure he will be back stronger next year.”
